Who is the Best Player of Basketball?
Who is the best basketball player of all
time? You’ve probably thought about this question, but you can’t make an
informed decision until you’re familiar with the top players in the game today
and throughout history. This list of the best basketball players ever will help
you do just that! From Lebron James to Michael Jordan, some of the most iconic
athletes in American history make it onto this list of greatest basketball
players ever, as well as some less recognizable names who are well-worth
studying up on. So, who takes home the number one spot as the best basketball
player ever? And why?
He's not just a good player but he's also got a good attitude when it comes to interacting with fans and other players on social media platforms like Twitter. The thing I respect about him is that he speaks his mind, and even if you don't always agree with what he has to say, at least you know where he stands. His move from Cleveland to Miami back in 2010 really helped solidify LeBron James as one of the greatest athletes of all time in basketball because he showed commitment to his hometown and proved he was loyal through tough times.
I remember watching an interview with Michael Jordan where they asked him who was going to be the next player in line after he retires. He looked right at LeBron James and said, He will. It just proves how much Michael Jordan respects LeBron James as a person and as an athlete! When we ask who is the best player of basketball? LeBron James might be the first answer for many people. He plays on both sides of the ball, rebounds very well for someone who is 6'8 tall, can dribble around defenders and shoot from anywhere on the court. But some people might say Kobe Bryant because he shoots better than anyone else, uses more moves than any other guard does (including scoring with the drop-step) and never backs down from anything. Plus, Kobe Bryant played more seasons than LeBron James did so far (17) and won five titles to only two for Lebron James so far. There are plenty of great choices when you ask who is the best player of basketball? Kobe Bryant or LeBron James? What would make this question difficult is that there are too many ways to define who the best player of basketball is. What do you value most in a player? Do you value winning championships or individual skills such as shooting accuracy or rebounding ability?
Stephen Curry
In 2013, Stephen Curry was ranked by ESPN as seventh on their list of most popular athletes from North Carolina. The same year, he made his first All-Star appearance and led the Golden State Warriors to an NBA championship. The next season, he broke two long-standing records: 3-point shots made in a single game and 3-point shots made in a single season. He also won an ESPY award for Breakthrough Athlete of the Year and back to back MVP awards in 2015 and 2016. However, it's not just about the accolades. His play is what makes him so great. Not only does he have exceptional shooting skills but also impeccable dribbling skills. With these skills combined, it's no wonder that Steph Curry continues to break all sorts of records! AUTHOR'S NOTE: I do not know who the best player of basketball is because there are many good players, including LeBron James. But if I had to pick one person who would be considered the best player of basketball, my choice would be Stephen Curry. There are three reasons why I think he is the best player of basketball. Firstly, in every game where Curry plays, he shoots more than 40%. It seems like whenever he touches the ball during a possession, it automatically goes into the basket. Secondly second reason why Stephen Curry is the best player of basketball is because when you watch him play, it feels like you're watching art unfold. And finally thirdly , it doesn't matter how well anyone else guards him; Curry always finds a way to score points regardless of who guards him or how hard they guard him.
Kevin Durant
In today's ever-changing NBA, Kevin Durant has established himself as one of the best players in the league. His signature shooting style and footwork have made him a force to be reckoned with on offense and defense. This makes him an asset for any team, but it also makes him a target for other teams looking to make a trade or steal him away with free agency. For example, in 2017, there was much speculation that Durant would leave Oklahoma City because he was unhappy with how much money Russell Westbrook was making on his contract extension. Luckily, after meeting with General Manager Sam Presti, Durant confirmed that he would stay in OKC. I just love playing here, Durant told ESPN. I love playing for these fans. I love everything about this place. When you play basketball, you need some motivation. You need something bigger than yourself to keep going when things are tough. The people around here give me that motivation every day. They come to practice, they come to games, they cheer us on. And then my teammates do their job: We go out and we work hard every single night. That doesn't mean I don't think about what it might be like somewhere else or what will happen if I get traded or whatever. But I know where home is. My family and friends are all here. And I've built up so many memories at this place, from my first game to winning our first championship, that it feels like anything less than being loyal to the city would be wrong. It wouldn't feel right. It wouldn't feel good.
Kawhi Leonard
The best player in the NBA has to be Kawhi
Leonard. His ability to score, rebound and defend are unmatched. He can also
hit from long range, which is a tough skill for a lot of players in the league.
That’s why he is still only 27 years old.
She was ready to go back inside but he
stopped her again by putting his hand on her arm and said, Just one more
question. Who do you think the best player in basketball is? What is your
favorite team? Who will win this year's championship?
She answered, My favorite team is the
Cleveland Cavaliers because they have LeBron James who I think is a really good
player. As for who will win this year's championship, I'm not sure!
He gave her a smile that showed off his
perfectly white teeth and nodded before finally letting go of her arm.
She turned to walk away but turned back
when she heard him say, Oh I forgot to ask: What's your name? She looked at him
with wide eyes, shocked that he had just asked her out right there in public.
It didn't seem like something he would do... it seemed too forward and she
wasn't sure how to react. She opened her mouth then closed it again while
trying to come up with an answer as fast as possible. Why did she have to look
so damn cute standing there with surprise etched all over her face?
He laughed softly at her reaction then reached into his pocket and pulled out a card before handing it over to her.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
The best player in basketball has to be
Giannis Antetokounmpo. He plays for the Milwaukee Bucks and is often called The
Greek Freak. He's 6'11 and can handle the ball like a guard, making him really
versatile. His shooting range extends to 3-point territory, making him a
constant threat. And he also has an insane wingspan, which makes it difficult
for opponents to block his shots or get rebounds away from him.
Giannis was born in Athens, Greece when his
parents were living there as college students. But he moved with his family to
Greece when he was just two years old. There he grew up playing soccer and
didn't start playing basketball until after high school. In 2011, at 16 years
old, he joined the Greek pro club team Filathlitikos and signed a multi-year
contract with them that year. Eventually moving back to Milwaukee in 2013 where
he was drafted by the Bucks with 15th overall pick in 2014 NBA Draft.
The son of immigrants who immigrated from
Nigeria in 1987 before giving birth to Giannis shortly thereafter. It would be
another 18 months before they returned to Greece for six months. Their return
was cut short due to unrest within the country so they had no choice but move
back to their native home of Nigeria. They eventually migrated to America in
2000 and made their way down South settling near Dallas, Texas. It wasn’t long
before Giannis would finally make contact with a basketball court and try out
his hand at the sport he’d become known for worldwide today.
In spite of all these difficulties through
adolescence, Giannis continued pushing forward towards success. As an adult, he
now lives in Milwaukee with his wife and young child. All these experiences
have molded Giannis into the incredible athlete we see today - one who's proven
himself on both offense and defense. Not only does this man have ridiculous
strength and speed, but he also seems to have some pretty good hops! In fact, a
lot of people think he could easily compete in the Olympics one day...But that
day might not come soon enough since Giannis is still developing new skills
each game.
